New Kitchen and Bath Products
That Are Sure To Inspire
The 2016 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show
The annual Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) provides an amazing showcase for the latest trends on the horizon for kitchens and bathrooms. Remodeling professionals, custom home builders, interior designers and other members of the event's sponsor, the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), come to learn about and be inspired by exciting new products and technologies introduced by more than 500 companies representing the industry's leading brands.
Pulling Out All the Stops
KBIS 2016 was filled with fresh ideas and innovative products that put what you need right at your fingertips. Just pull out a drawer or slide out a shelf and make your life easier than ever!
Refrigerator Convenience
A leader in bar and beverage refrigeration, Perlick brings its technology and expertise to residential kitchen remodeling this year with its Signature Series Dual-Zone under-counter refrigerators. Fully extending, vinyl-coated wire shelving is offered in models with state-of-the-art digital temperature controls that allow 2 different temperatures in the same cooler cabinet for food/wine or for red/white wine refrigeration. Another dual-zone model features 2 drawers: one refrigerator and one freezer. The fridge drawer is even sturdy and deep enough to hold a gallon of milk.
Kitchen Storage That Comes to You
There's no excuse for inaccessible cabinet spaces anymore with a variety of pullout storage solutions. Rev-A-Shelf's Above Appliance Pullout is a door-mounted that comes out to turn hard-to-reach cabinets, like above the refrigerator, into functional storage space for everyday items or small appliances.
Their Three-Tier Blind Corner Optimizer means no more wasted space or forgetting something that is forever lost in the dark recesses of a corner cabinet. The chrome shelving unit pulls out to make pantry items or specialty cookware accessible once more.
Who doesn't find that food leftover containers create cabinet chaos? Rev-A-Shelf's Food Storage Container Organizer brings back some sanity with adjustable dividers and pegboards that allow limitless customization to fit your container storage needs all in a pullout shelf.
Texture Takes Center Stage
The natural textures of rough-hewn wood, stone and brick were trending throughout the show including many varieties of easy-to-install veneer products. Add a shabby chic or farmhouse feel to walls, ceilings, kitchen islands and more with StikWood's peel-and-stick planking, made from real reclaimed and sustainable wood. If you want the look of rustic wood floors in a high-traffic kitchen, Walker Zanger offers the Blendart Collection of tile that looks exactly like weathered wood, in the durability and versatility of porcelain tile. ClipStone by Environmental Stoneworks is a low-maintenance veneer with the appearance of natural stone that can be used to add texture to any wall – indoors or out. Eldorado Stone's TundraBrick offers the texture and appearance of exposed brick in a lightweight, inch-thick veneer. Profiles by Island Stone is a collection of natural stone tile styles cut in geometric shapes and concave/convex relief patterns to add dimension to a bathroom wall.

New takes on metallic finishes are trending for those who prefer shiny and stately over rough and rugged for their kitchen or bath. Warm brass hardware, copper sinks and bronze plumbing fixtures look especially fresh when paired with matte black or sleek white cabinetry. Tile in richly textured bronze and sparkly gold quartz counter surfaces by Silestone will add an extra touch of elegance to the spa-like master bathroom of your dreams.

Maintenance Tip: Unplug to Save Energy
You know you can save energy by turning off lights and appliances when not in use. But you should also unplug items that don't require full-time connection or have finished charging. Alternatively, you can use power strips that can be flipped on or off as needed. Nearly 75 percent of energy consumed by home appliances occurs while they're turned off but still plugged in.
