Join us for a sunset fruit tasting and potluck overlooking Kealakekua Bay at One Island. Select from a variety of fruit - themed educational activities in the afternoon and evening.
 
Our Special Guest Presenter is Jim West, visiting from Ecuador. Jim will share information on rare and familiar tropical fruits from around the world. He is a master purveyor of tropical seeds and his last HTFG presentation was a fascinating arm chair journey into the exotic.
 
Learn about Jim's work as founder of the Reserva Rio Guaycuyacu nature preserve and farm in northwestern Ecuador. His seed bank grows and sells over 500 species of tropical fruit from around the world and his web site is at http://www.guaycuyacu.net/

Hawaii Island Fruit Growers are invited to come showcase their products at this fair to help forge connections between growers and local consumers. Come show us your best, strangest, and most delicious! To showcase your fruit and products RSVP to hawaii@one-island.org  for entry information. There is no charge for the showcase thanks to USDA FMPP support. Free tastings and product sales are welcome. Set up is 2:30-3:30pm.
