Stop the Summer Slide with INFOhio Beach Bags and Camp INFOhio!

Back by popular demand: INFOhio Beach Bags and the virtual Camp INFOhio offered for free to all Ohio families by INFOhio and the Ohio Department of Education.

The Beach Bags, for grades K-3, feature stories and activities that let children practice reading skills while learning about careers and their environment. Here is the complete list:
Camp INFOhio, for grades 4-6, contains five days of reading, activities, and experiments centered on STEAM topics. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math. Kids can try their hand at code breaking, conduct science experiments with items they find in the kitchen, learn about roller coasters before designing their own, and create their own musical instruments.

No sign up is necessary! Parents can simply download the packets above so their children can work through the activities at their own pace.

Literacy Flyers for Parents Now in Spanish
The "So You're Parenting a...." flyers that give parents ideas for helping their children practice reading during everyday activities like going to the grocery store or walking around the neighborhood are now available in Spanish as well as English.

The five flyers, one for each grade from PreK-3, help children develop early literacy skills and pass the Third Grade Reading Guarantee. Find them all on INFOhio's Third Grade Reading Guarantee page.

Developed by INFOhio, the State Library of Ohio, the Ohio Educational Library Media Association, and the Ohio PTA, the flyers are available to all Ohioans for free download.
