OH! Lead Walks You Through the Technology Maze

Considering the MazeOH! Lead, an online technology planning course, is here! Developed by INFOhio eLearning specialists and funded through the former eTech Ohio, the course helps school tech leaders, administrators, and future administrators work through school-wide and district-wide technology planning step by step. The result is a final portfolio of articles, videos, techniques, and activity ideas that help prepare students and faculty for technology in the work world.

  • Although any Ohio educator is welcome to work through OH! Lead, it is designed for school and district administrators--or aspiring administrators--who must make high-level technology decisions. If that doesn't describe you, please  to your favorite tech leader or administrator.
  • The three modules walk you through creating a plan, understanding the technology that is shaping students' lives, and harnessing those technologies to keep up with the changing environment.
    • Module 1: Leading the Learning. Develop a clear, 3-to-5 year technology vision for a school, district, or organization with the goal of preparing students for college and careers.
    • Module 2: Millennial Learning Environments. Understand emerging technology trends, foster students' independent learning, maintain best practices, and support teachers and students.
    • Module 3: Infusing Innovation. Explore a variety of web-based resources and Web 2.0 tools that help administrators stay on top of current trends and connect to the community.
  • You can work through the modules on your own, but you will get the most from OH! Lead in a group setting, either virtually through a learning management system or face to face. Many ITCs, ESCs and EdTechs are facilitating OH! Lead courses. Check with your local organizations for dates.

Lead into course management systems, and a syllabus for the course with timelines, suggested assignments, discussion questions, and rubrics to modify as neededTo access the Facilitator Guide, go to ohlead.infohio.org, click Facilitator Guide from the menu bar, and register.
