Sea Scout Ship 6 Pasta Dinner Fundraiser
Sea Scout Ship 6 is having their fall fundraiser Pasta Dinner on Friday March 24th. Please come and  help support the Ship!
Space is limited so signup ASAP....bring your friends, sailors bring your crews! Tables seat 10 people (11 if needed) so let Kai know if you want to reserve an entire table. They will also be collecting canned food and spare change from your car or under the couch!
NOTE: This is a truly special organization in Norwalk that gets kids on the water who otherwise would NEVER have the opportunity. If you can't attend the Pasta Dinner, consider making a contribution.

While we're waiting for the snow to melt  to really get started on the boat, now is the time to take the overall status snapshot. It's easy to be so focused on the important things that you know need attention (like finally cleaning out that fresh water filter next to the water pump) that the basic things get overlooked. So we have some checklists to help you see the big picture... Discover Boating Semi-Annual Checklistand the Spring Startup Checklist By the way, be prepared for a crazy rush at the boatyards! Typically, marine industry professionals HATE these late season winter storms because nothing  can be "un-winterized", painted or waxed until it warms / melts....and boaters still all want the boat in on April 15th! Please consider; if you can't work on it yet, the yard can't either!

Greenwich Boat Show - April 8 & 9
If you missed the fall / winter boatshows (or just can't get enough), here's another one that's nearby...
This year the show will feature "a remarkable selection of new boats from 19 dealers, representing 43 different manufacturers. Boaters in the market for high-end, luxury vessels can test such brands as Monte Carlo Yachts, Chris Craft, Tiara, Back Cove, Sabre, Southport Boats, MJM, and True North. They'll also be able to try Hunt Yachts, Vanquish, Galeon and Gran Turismo by Beneteau. Rockport Marine will be there with their custom wooden boats. 
Anglers hoping to reel in a great fishing boat will have plenty to consider. They can test sport fishing vessels like Everglades, Scout, Grady White, Pursuit, Boston Whaler, and Regulator. They'll also get to try great fishing boats from Release, EdgeWater, Century, Sea Fox, Sea Hunt, World Cat, Seaway and Robalo. For a special experience, step aboard an American or Ranger Tug.

Peking is Homeward Bound
After more than 40 years at the dock at South Street Seaport Museum in New York, the 377-foot Flying-P Liner Peking, made famous in Irving Johnson's mini-documentary Around Cape Horn, is preparing for a voyage back home to Hamburg, where she will be restored and become the centerpiece for a new German Port Museum.
