Spring Has Sprung!
The drone of sanders and buffers is in the air and boaters are slowly checking items off their spring "to do" list in anticipation of a great summer.
Last weekend's Open House at Rex and celebration of 80 years in business was a great success, with packed seminars and loads of bottom paint and boat stuff marching out the door. The NEW Sea Pro 239 was well received, and test rides are being scheduled at Rex. (come see it! - a really nice boat!!)

Time to Burn The Socks!
Usually coinciding with the spring equinox, the annual ritual celebrates the end of winter and the beginning of spring and the boating season.
It started in Annapolis in the 70's and has slowly spread up and down the east and mid-Atlantic coasts. Plan on hosting a party of your own!
For a summary of the intricate ritual (which often includes medicinal intake of various libations - including dark rum) see this great article in the Chesapeake Bays' Spin Sheet
