LOUIS VUITTON AMERICA'S CUP WORLD SERIES 2016 ANNOUNCED...

And they're coming to NEW YORK CITY !!

As part of the Louis Vuitton racing series, the fleet of 45 foot foiling catamarans will hold the "portable" racing series in Oman on Feb. 27th, in New York on May 6th, Chicago on June 10th and Portsmouth (UK) July 22nd. The Americas Cup finals are set for May / June 2017 in Bermuda... will you be there?

5 teams are competing to take the cup away from the winner of the last Americas Cup, Oracle Team USA. They are: Artemis Racing (Sweden), Emirates Team New Zealand, Groupama Team France, Team Land Rover BAR, and Softbank Team Japan.

The racing in NY is to be held right off Manhattan, near the Statue of Liberty and with foiling boats that can hit over 40, it's going to be amazing!

From 1870 through 1920, Americas Cup racing took place off New York. Beginning in 1930, the competition was moved to Newport, RI, where it remained until the United States finally lost the Cup in 1983, ending the longest winning streak in sports.

Since that time, racing for the America's Cup has taken place in Perth, San Diego, Auckland, Valencia (Spain), and San Francisco.  In May/June 2017, the next America's Cup series will be held in Bermuda.

A Healthy Ocean ?  Don't be a "TOSSER"

What we do today will affect the future of our oceans whether we like it or not. The simple act of being a 'TOSSER' today could mean a world with no marine life, limited oxygen and more disease than we have today. Sounds drastic right?

Consider these facts:

* 100,000+ Marine creatures die from plastic suffocation and entanglement every year.
* 1 million plus sea birds die of the same thing.
* 95% of the world's large fish contain plastic which we will consume if we eat fish.
* 60-80% of the world's oxygen comes from the ocean
* Plastics are related to growing numbers of cancers, autism, ADHD and more diseases than you can imagine.

If you look at the increase in our use of plastic and the rise in diseases such as cancer, they seem to be growing at the same rate. Is it coincidence or is it cause and effect?

The simple answer for us that use the ocean as our playground, our office, and even our home, is that CLEAN OCEANS MAKE US ALL WINNERS.
