High Speed Ferry Contract Signed with NY -NJ MTA
The marina is pleased to announce that it has signed a long term contract that will establish a High Speed Ferry terminal on "M" dock. The three 140 foot ferries that will be based at the terminal will serve the Wall Street District, Oyster Bay and the Jersey Shore. Each ferry can carry 300 passengers and will cruise at 50 plus knots. The existing shoreside restaurant will be used as a ticket office and snack / breakfast bar. Marina parking will be supplemented by shuttle buses running from Fairfield, Wilton and Greenwich. Traffic on Long Island Sound will not be affected, according to a multi-year study completed in 1989.

Sailing School to offer FlairCraft
Training and Tour Center
Building on it's strong standing and steady customer base, the Sailing school has announced the formation of a FlairCraft training school and tour center.
Many customers had been complaining
that they don't have time for the wind to pick up (in addition to the slow-ish boat speeds involved in sailing). After researching available options, it was concluded that introducing the FlairCraft was a no-brainer.
With a cruising speed of 80 knots and a range of 124.67 nautical miles, the FlairCraft can easily handle a four foot chop. Regular runs to Block Island for lunch are anticipated.
The three new FlairCraft will be docked at Cove's "D" Dock.

Dock Reassignments at Cove
After much deliberation, the Cove administration will be making the following changes for the Summer of 2014:
"B" dock will be exclusively reserved for transient boats. Many cruising boats and distant Yacht Clubs have expressed interest in coming "en-masse" to scenic Norwalk. A transient-only picnic ground and Tiki Bar will be featured for their enjoyment. Existing "B" dock customers will be moved to the "Boneyard" docks, recently renamed "Cove-by-the-Sea". Construction will begin July first.
"C" dock will be reserved for sailboats only. Due the large number of sailboats wintering at Cove, as well as the demise of a large marina in Stamford, a dedicated dock for sailboats is now warranted. Note: trawlers with tall masts may be considered upon application on an individual basis. Weekend Knot Tying, advanced Macrame and winch grinding seminars will be offered by Capt. Rick.
