If you are Planning a Cruise, Remember the
Long Island Loop Cruising Club
Rex and Cove, together with other independent marinas on the Long Island Sound, offer each others customers discounted rates on overnight dockage. This gives our customers the opportunity to visit places up and down the Sound in short hops. It's an economical and easy to visit close destinations which may not have been on your radar.
Each member of the Long Island Loop Cruising Club offers something a little different. Boaters can book online or by phone and must 
mention that they are Dock or Rack Customers (Members) of either Cove or Rex and part of the Long Island Loop Cruising Club to receive discounts. Slips are based on availability, and you must show your membership card..

Were you on your boat when the
power went out 10 years ago ?
On our mooring in Norwalk harbor, having just finished a picnic supper aboard, we were astonished to see the lights ashore go out as if a magic wand waived first over Sono and then around to East Norwalk. Eventually, only the lights of cars ashore and the running lights of boats in the channel were visible.
Instantly, there were no landmarks and for some, a real test of navigation. A great night to spend on the boat, with plenty of power and movies on the laptop!

Huntington Lighthouse MusicFest August 31'st
For the 7th year, the Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society presents the Lighthouse Music Fest. This event, held each Labor Day weekend, is
the ONLY Music Festival in the WORLD held on top of a working lighthouse in the middle of the water!
The event has grown each year, with participants attending by yacht, boat, kayak, canoe or inner-tube ! Boaters are drawn from New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Jersey! The music begins at 11 am and runs through 8 pm.
PLEASE NOTE : THERE IS A NO WAKE ZONE FROM 11 AM - 10 PM WITHIN A 1 MILE RADIUS OF THE LIGHTHOUSE
