We had good weather and the gate count was up about 12%, dealers reported sales,and the FlyBoard demos were outrageous ! Did you ask to try it ? Now the boats and dealers race down to Annapolis. Thanks to everyone for making it a good one!

Fall Boating Tips
As the days get shorter and temperatures drop, here are some things to remember when going out on the boat....
1. Check the Weather. Knowing the forecast and actually seeing the radar and wind predictions will make your onboard time more enjoyable.
2. Carry a VHF Radio*. There are less people on the water in the Fall and your best chance of reaching out for help is with a VHF radio.
3. Bring Extra Clothes. Usually you can assume it's 10 degrees colder on the water. In the Fall, with the sun setting earlier it's not uncommon to see changes of 20 degrees or more !
* Note that newer VHF radios are DSC enabled (Digital Selective Calling) and incorporate an integral GPS, or can be connected to an external GPS. These radios need ...........

International Marine Art Exhibition Returns to Connecticut
The Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport opened the 33rd annual International Marine Art Exhibition and Sale last Sunday which runs through Dec. 31.
More than 100 award-winning artists from around the globe will present their most recent work. Represented in this show are exceptional paintings, drawings, sculpture, scrimshaw and ship models. The show is a co commemoration of America's maritime heritage with both intricately researched historical scenes and contemporary images that document the relationship of man to the sea.
"Every year we strive to find the best work in the marine field and bring it to our Gallery at Mystic Seaport," Maritime Gallery director Jeanne Potter said. "The show is a wonderful opportunity to view - and purchase - the latest and finest efforts from the most accomplished marine artists working today." Participating artists include Donald Demers, William Duffy, Ian Hansen, Russ Kramer, Sergio Roffo, and Jeff Weaver.
All works in the exhibition are available to view and purchase daily between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The show can also be viewed on the gallery website.
