If you are planning one last Fall cruise, remember the Long Island Loop Cruising Club
Rex and Cove, together with other independent marinas on the Long Island Sound, offer each others customers discounted rates on overnight dockage. This gives our customers the opportunity to visit places up and down the Sound in short hops. Additionally, with soaring fuel prices, it's economical and easy to visit closer destinations which may not have been on your radar.
Each member of the Long Island Loop Cruising Club offers something a little different. Boaters can book online or by phone and must mention that they are members of either Cove or Rex and part of the Long Island Loop Cruising Club to receive discounts. Slips are based on availability. It's Getting Dark Early -
Do Your Running Lights Work ?
The rules state:
Recreational vessels must display their required navigational lights at all times between sunset and sunrise, and during daylight periods of reduced visibility.
Note: Spot lights, bright white "headlights" and mounted fishing lights should be OFF while underway because (A) they obscure your running lights (B) they ruin your night vision (C) They blind other boaters.
