New Program Announcement:
The Hume Center is Excited to Announce the opening of our Community Support Program!

 

In the coming weeks, our Community Support Program (CSP) will start providing services as a Full Service Partnership with Contra Costa County. CSP will provide intensive and comprehensive community-based psychosocial rehabilitation services for adults with chronic and severe

psychiatric disabilities residing in East and Central Contra Costa County.

 

The program will operate as a continuous treatment service to provide evidence-based

treatments and recovery-oriented services to assist

individuals to:

* Prevent repeat hospitalizations

* Transition from institutionalization

* Attain and/or maintain medication compliance

* Improve both community tenure and quality of life

* Attain and/or maintain housing stability

* Attain self-sufficiency through vocational and

educational support

Program Spotlight:
How Well Do You Know our Behavioral Consulting Services Department?

 

Behavioral health consultation is a problem-solving and strength-building intervention implemented within a collaborative relationship between a professional consultant with behavioral health expertise and one or more individuals with other areas of expertise. Such individuals may include parents, special education teachers, group home administrators, case managers, social workers, or day program staff.

Join Team Hume on June 22! Walk or Run to Support The Hume Center!

The countdown to Sevathon 2014 has begun. Join the marathon of seva (service) by running or walking for the Hume Center to Create Awareness about Mental Health and Reduce Stigma. Sevathon brings together 75 non-profit organizations this year. Besides being a 5K, 10K, and Half-Marathon event, it is a family event with a hot breakfast, a cultural program, and activities for the whole family. Fun activities for kids include tattoo, henna, and games to name a few.

Every year, the Greater Bay 7-Eleven Franchise Owners Association hosts a Golf Tournament to benefit The Hume Center. We have over 80 players playing today at Hiddenbrooke Golf Club in Vallejo representing over 20 companies. Will you join us next year? The Hume Center will be Hosting a Community Living Room Conversation about Assisted Outpatient Treatment.
The planning group for the innovative Community Living Room Conversation (CLRC) movement in Contra Costa has chosen The Hume Center's Concord office to host this important conversation at. We are proud to be a part of the ongoing conversations in our county as Contra Costa works to determine if this law should be implemented in this county.
