CHAPTER EVENT THIS WEEK

This Friday, November 14th - 7:30 pm. 


 

A recital by organist, JONATHAN RUDY, winner of the AGO 2014 National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance. Works by Louis Marchand, Pamela Decker, J.S. Bach, Girolamo Frescobaldi, Camille Saint-Saëns and Jean Guillou. Co-sponsored by the Cleveland Chapter AGO, St. John's Cathedral & Trinity Cathedral. The performer will be fully visible on a large screen for this concert.


 

There will be a reception following the recital for AGO members to have a chance to greet Mr. Rudy.

Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, E. 9 & Superior, Cleveland. Freewill offering. Free Parking in lot behind the Cathedral.

IN MEMORIAM VIRGINIA (GINNY) MITCHELL

Longtime Cleveland AGO member M. Virginia (Ginny) Mitchell died Sunday, Nov. 2. She is survived by her husband Ben Mitchell, two daughters (Amy Brokken and Virginia Vedda) and five grandchildren. Ginny was the organist at Brooklyn Heights United Church of Christ. She was a member of Trinity Cathedral in Cleveland


A memorial service will be held at Trinity Cathedral on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 4 p.m. The Rt. Rev. Arthur B. Williams, Jr., the Very Rev. Tracey Lind and the Rev. Mary Carson will all participate in the memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made to Music & Art at Trinity and the American Cancer Society; PO Box 22718; Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
