Our chapter AGO Competition for the Young organists was held March 23 at Fairmount Presbyterian Church. The winner of the competition was Mitchell Miller, a student of James David Christie at Oberlin College. Runner-up was Emily Meixner, a student of Todd Wilson at the Cleveland Institute of Music. In addition to receiving a prize of $500 Miller will compete in the Region V Competition for the Young Organist in Kalamazoo in June. Thanks to Bob Moncreif for hosting and coordinating the competition and to the competition judges Ron Gould, Barbara MacGregor and Anne Wilson.

It was a delight to hear both of these fine performers! We wish Mitchell all the best at the Kalamazoo convention.

With Best Regards,

Fern
