  Saint Patrick's Weekly Reminders
May 14, 2015
Please join us this Sunday for worship at 8:30 or 10:30 am. Children's Chapel resumes this week during the first half of the 10:30 am service. Lectionary Bible study for adults takes place in the Youth Room at 9:30 am.

We are delighted to welcome Jim Hurst to our community this Sunday as our guest musician. Jim will be playing guitar and singing throughout the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday. He will also be our featured performer (see below) at this Sunday's Solas Leigh's concert. Please extend a warm Saint Patrick's welcome to Jim when you see him on Sunday!

Sabbath is the pause that refreshes. Join others who are integrating the practice of Sabbath into their week by trying this week's spiritual practice. Place the weekly quote on a mirror you look into first thing in the morning. Listen to the meditative music as a ritual to begin your Sabbath. Post the Sabbath prayer and the calendar on your refrigerator as reminders. You can still sign up for a weekly email offering additional spiritual guidance by clicking here

As an integral part of an ongoing commitment to keep you informed, the Vestry will hold an Update Forum following the 10:30 am. service this Sunday, May 17th. Planned to be around 20 minutes long, the key topics will be a "Financial Update" and "New Signage." Next Sunday, please grab your coffee and join the forum to keep informed of developments at Saint Patrick's.

Jim Hurst is returning to Saint Patrick's as part of our Solas Leighis Concert Series this Sunday, May 17th at 7:00 pm. Jim combines savvy guitar picking, broad vocal range and a musical eclecticism that culminates in jaw-dropping performances. The event includes a wine and cheese reception, so if you are planning to attend, please bring a finger food to share. Tickets at the door: $15 adults and $10 students/seniors. For more details, click here.

The Parish office will begin a Summer Office Hour schedule on Tuesday, May 26. The office will be open from 9 am until 1 pm Monday through Thursday. Of course the staff will be available to you from 9 am until 5 pm Monday through Friday via email and phone. The shortened hours are in effect through Labor Day.

Our next scheduled day to serve as Prep Chefs at the Mooresville Soup Kitchen is on Tuesday, June 9th from 1 to 4 pm. Currently we still have many slots to fill. We are in need of 6 to 10 volunteers, 16 years of age and older who can commit to helping to prepare the frozen meals for those in need. You can sign up to help by clicking
