  Saint Patrick's Weekly Reminders
March 26, 2015
Please join us for worship this Sunday at 8:30 or 10:30 a.m. This Sunday is Palm Sunday. At the 10:30 a.m. service, we will gather outside the church for the reading of this story and for the blessing of the palms. We then go in procession into the church for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. During the liturgy, the Passion will be read from the Gospel of Mark. Children's Chapel takes place during the first half of the 10:30 a.m. service. Lectionary Bible Study meets in the Youth Room at 9:30 a.m.

Please be aware that a professional photographer will be taking pictures this Sunday, March 29th. She will be taking pictures during and around the time of the Sunday services for potential use on our website. We want to show Saint Patrick's in its best possible light so please bear this mind as you prepare for and participate in our worship this Sunday.

As a follow up to her fall presentation on sabbatical and sabbath practices, the Rev. Canon Cathie Caimano will host a Rector's Forum on Sunday, April 19th to continue the conversation.  In addition to a brief recap on the practice of clergy sabbatical, Cathie will lead us into a consideration of ways in which we can all, individually and corporately, deepen our practices of spiritual rest.   The forum will take place immediately following the 10:30am service.

Holy Week begins on Sunday, March 29th. We have prepared a schedule of services and events including a detailed description. Click here to access the schedule.

It is our tradition at Saint Patrick's to adorn our worship space with beautiful, fragrant flowers at Easter. Donations for Sanctuary flowers are welcome from individuals or families in celebration or as a memorial. The suggested donation is $15 a plant with $5 for each additional name. Gifts will be printed in the Easter bulletins providing your information is received in the church office by April 1.Click

Saint Patrick's will hold the annual Easter Egg Hunt for the children immediately following the 10:30 a.m. service (4/5/15). We will have a "toddler friendly" hunt on the back playground, and a more advanced hunt for our older children on the grounds around the church property. Nut free candy and small toy donations are welcome to fill the eggs. Please give to Stacey Fox or her attention anytime until April 3rd.

Reminder: There will be no children's chapel on Easter Sunday. The Nursery will be open.

The Shamrock's Children's Choir will have practice in the Sanctuary tis Sunday immediately following the 10:30 a.m. service to practice for the Easter service.

A note to all: We will be "flowering the cross" on Easter morning so please pick a few fresh flowers and bring to be added to the cross for our Easter Sunday 10:30 a.m. service.

Mark your calendars! Please note that the date for Anniversary has changed! Anniversary Sunday will now be held on Sunday, May 3rd. Please mark your calendars and plan to be present as we celebrate the 24th anniversary of Saint Patrick's. Watch for details!

Our next scheduled day to serve as Prep Chefs at the Mooresville Soup Kitchen is on Tuesday, April 14th from 1 to 4 pm. Currently we still have many slots to fill. We are in need of 6 to 10 volunteers, 16 years of age and older who can commit to helping to prepare the frozen meals for those in need. You can sign up to help by clicking
