Calling all Angels and Shepherds! Our annual intergenerational Christmas pageant will take place during the 5 pm service on Christmas Eve! We need angels, shepherds, wise men and readers of all ages! To date, we are still at just 45% of households participating with pledges meeting 75% of our goal. If you have not already done so, please prayerfully consider making the commitment and returning your card. Our goal is 100% participation and no pledge is too small, or too large! Pledge cards are still available in the Narthex, or from the Finance Office, or you can pledge by mail or phone to Julie Lynch by clicking here or (704) 663-5659 ext. 203.
Acolytes are needed to assist with worship on Sunday mornings. Click here to sign up.
Please consider supporting the Diocesan Harvest for Hospitality Campaign. Each family of the parish is being asked to prayerfully consider contributing $50.00 to the campaign. Consider this amount a guideline. Contributions of more or less are most welcome and will greatly assist the diocese in ministering to the underserved population of migrant farmworkers in our state. Checks may be made payable to Saint Patrick's and placed in the Sunday morning offering plate or mailed to the church office. Be sure to include "Harvest for Hospitality" in the memo line. For more information about the campaign please click here to see the letter that was sent to every parish family. Also, please consider exploring the diocesan website by clicking here for detailed information.
We have been blessed with Dr. Karen Oldham presenting on mindfulness and meditation at Saint Patrick's during an Adult Forum. Now we have the chance for Karen to teach a 4 week class (8 total hours). We will "green" the church
on Monday, December 22 beginning at 10 am. We need help moving in Christmas Trees, hanging wreaths and arranging poinsettias. If you can help, please show up around 10 on Monday. Adults and youth are welcome!
We are in need of volunteers who can help move furniture out and back into our classrooms on several occasions over the holidays. This will enable some important maintenance and cleaning projects to take place. First, we need help after the 10:30 service this Sunday. Then on December 24 in the afternoon (before the 5 pm service). We also need help on December 28 and January 4 after the 10:30 services. If you can help this Sunday, please jump in and help. For future dates, please look for the volunteer form located in the Narthex. Many hands make light work! Thank you!
The Youth Christmas Party will be held tomorrow evening (Friday, December 19) from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at Saint Patrick's. Dinner will be served. Please bring a wrapped gift (no candy please) valued at no more than $5 for the Wacky Gift Exchange.
At Saint Patrick's, our tradition at Christmas is to decorate our worship space with beautiful poinsettias, trees and wreaths as we prepare to celebrate the Incarnation. Our ability to do this every year is only made possible by donations we receive to our Flower Fund. You can donate in loving memory or thanksgiving of loved ones. All donors will be listed in the Christmas Eve bulletins, along with the person(s) being remembered/honored. Suggested donation is $15 with $5 for each additional name. The deadline has been extended to Sunday, December 21. You can mail your order into the office, or just drop it in the plate on Sunday morning. Forms are also available in the Narthex. Click
here for an order form.
