|
Please join for worship this Sunday at 8:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. Children's Chapel for children in preschool through grade 5 will take place during the first half of the 10:30 service. A reminder that a lectionary bible study for adults is offered every Sunday between services at 9:30 am.
Rector's Forum: Mindfulness and Meditation. Mindfulness and meditation skills have been found to be helpful in managing stress, tolerating the difficulties of life, working with difficult emotions, and finding a greater sense of meaning, peace, and purpose in life. Please come hear psychologist Dr. Karen Oldham speak about this topic on Sunday November 23 immediately following the 10:30 am service. Dr. Oldham facilitated a forum for us once before and she was received so well that we are pleased to welcome her back. Please mark your calendar and plan to be present.

Saint Patrick's ECW Bites n' Books Holiday Bazaar will take place this Saturday, November 15, from 10:00 am til 2:00 pm. This annual event is a great way to kick off the holiday season. It will feature a chili cook-off with official judges and popular votes. After the competition, homemade soup and chili will be available for sale by the quart. There will also be a Country Kitchen full of fresh baked goods, local arts and crafts including handmade pottery and soaps, and gently used books for sale. A $1.00 raffle ticket could win you a $75 signed and numbered Cotton Ketchie print. Lunch will be available for $4.00, including a choice of soup, drink and cookie. Make plans to join the fun and get a jump on your holiday shopping. All proceeds benefit community outreach projects.
In preparation for the upcoming Bites n' Books, the ECW is asking for donations of gently used books in addition to cakes, pies, cookies, etc. as well as homemade jams or jellies. Items should be individually wrapped for sale, or the cakes and pies can be sold whole. You may drop off your goods on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., or on Saturday morning, 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Thank you!
Robin Bullock returns to Saint Patrick's on Sunday, December 7, at 7:00 pm to once again kick off the Christmas season with his Celtic Christmas. He weaves a spell from centuries of tradition and the joy of the season, creating an unforgettable event of acoustic Christmas cheer. A wine and cheese reception is included during intermission. If you are planning to attend, please bring a finger food for the reception. At the door: $15 adults, $10 seniors/students. All proceeds benefit community outreach.
