ANNIVERSARY SUNDAY - JUNE 8TH
ONE SERVICE AT 10:30 AM
Please join us for worship this Sunday as we observe the 23rd anniversary of Saint Patrick's. Please note that only one service will be held this Sunday so that the entire community can worship together! A cake and refreshment reception will take place immediately following the service. Children's chapel is in session during the service for children preschool age through grade 5.
Saint Patrick's Church has been invited to participate along with St. Albans in offering an evening Episcopal worship opportunity for the clients of the Mooresville soup kitchen. These will occur once a month on a weeknight with exact times to be determined at a later date. At this point in time, our rector, Mark Forbes, is seeking to determine if we have a large enough interest amongst the congregation to participate. Please let Mark know by clicking here if you might have an interest in exploring this ministry opportunity. Please respond by Sunday, June 8.
On Tuesday, June 17th, the Saint Patrick's senior VIVA group will be traveling to Yadkin Valley to visit Shelton Vineyards. Please arrive at the Church parking lot by 11:00 so we can arrive at the Vineyards Harvest Grill for lunch from 12:00 to 12:30 pm. Following lunch there will be a tour of the Winery followed by a wine tasting. The winery is handicapped accessible and all are welcome. Cost is $5 and does not include lunch. Please contact Cindi Davis or Gail Connelly with questions and to sign up.
Our next scheduled day to serve as Prep Chefs at the Mooresville Soup Kitchen is on Tuesday, June 10th from 1 to 4 pm. Currently there are many slots to fill. We are in need of 6 to 10 volunteers, 16 years of age and older who can commit to helping to prepare the frozen meals for those in need. You can sign up to help by clicking here
Saint Patrick's has a Meal Ministry that provides meals to individuals or families in our congregation after returning home from a hospital stay due to serious illness or injury or the birth of a child. If you like to help others out by providing a meal, but have not signed up to be contacted through our on-line scheduling tool, please click here so Beryl can get you on the list. You can volunteer as often or as infrequently as fits your schedule. Meals can be home cooked or purchased. Please use disposable pans and containers so nothing needs to be returned. Please confirm delivery time, number of people in the household, and any dietary restrictions with the recipients.
