  Saint Patrick's Weekly Reminders
March 27, 2014

Please join us for worship this Sunday at 8:30 or 10:30 a.m. Children's Chapel for preschool age children through grade 5, takes place during the first half of the 10:30 a.m. service.

Please note that there will be no Meditative Eucharist this Sunday evening due to the Paul Asbell concert at 7 pm. The Meditative Eucharist will return next Sunday, April 6.

Paul Asbell will perform at Saint Patrick's this Sunday, March 30th, at 7:00 pm.  Paul's genre-blurring, virtuosic waltz through the deep heritage of American folklore is sure to delight all those in attendance.  At the door: $15 for adults and $10 for seniors/students, with all proceeds benefiting our community outreach programs.  If you are planning to attend, please bring a finger food to share for the wine and cheese reception.  For more details, visit our web site by clicking

Rector's Forum - this Sunday, March 30. In a changing World should the Episcopal Church change? Come and join us immediately following the 10:30 a.m. Eucharist this Sunday to discuss the future of the church. There is declining participation in all denominations of the Christian church, including the Episcopal Church. However, there seems to be a growing global emergence of many people seeking "Spirituality without Religion." Are there ways for Saint Patrick's to survive or even thrive in such a changing environment? Please join us for just 45 minutes to discuss this vitally important topic.

This Sunday March 30th the Youth and interested parents will attend a screening of the movie "Jerusalem" at the IMAX theater at Discovery Place. Tickets are $10 bring some money for lunch and snacks as well. We will leave Saint Patrick's short after the 10:30 service. Please advise Mark Fowler if you plan to attend so we can organize drivers.

Stop Hunger Now:April 6th is "Be the Sermon" Sunday!  The 8:30 am service will be a full Eucharist including a spoken sermon.  The 10:30 am service will be a full Eucharist minus a spoken sermon. Following the conclusion of the 10:30 am service, and after a 15 minute break, the 'sermon' will be preached by congregants wishing to participate.  In the spirit of St. Francis, we will preach together not with words, but with our actions.  The sanctuary will be converted into an assembly line where we will package 10,000 high protein, highly nutritious meals.  These meals will be used for those in need in developing countries around the world. There are seated opportunities to participate for those who find standing difficult.  All ages are welcome, including young children.  This project should take just a little over an hour and a half.  Imagine--in just over 90 minutes we will provide 10,000 impoverished children with a nutritious meal--very likely the only one they will get that day.  The meal packaging is a great intergenerational outreach event for a great cause.   Mark Hatley will serve as the project leader for this event. Please do join us!

Our Nursery & Children's Chapel depends on the families of Saint Patrick's to operate.  Please consider donating your time to our children and their christian education.  To sign up to help, please click here

The next session of yoga will be a five week session for $40. The classes begin on Tuesday, April 1st at 10:15 a.m. and continue through April 29. Bring a yoga mat, small blanket or towel, and fee. If you are new to the class, there is a release form available in the office that you need to sign. The instructor Christine will email current participants about the make-up class. The class is open to all levels, beginning or experienced. The approach used will be a gentle one.

We are in need of folks who would be willing to help with our Transportation Ministry efforts. Learn how you can help by clicking here.
