Desert Day: An Experiential Prayer Retreat. Saturday, March 8, 2014 - 9:00 AM-2:00 PM Led by The Rev. Dr. Sally M. Brower
"The further you go into the desert, the closer you come to God," says an Arabic proverb. This desert day will immerse us in the spiritual wisdom of the desert mothers and fathers, inviting us into a metaphorical and interior desert. The spiritual riches of the desert will be brought alive through poetry and story, visual images and ethereal music suitable for Lent. A variety of rituals and prayer experiences and a closing Eucharist will invite each participant deeper into an encounter with the holy God. Lunch will be provided. Click

A Lenten Study Opportunity: "Jesus Was An Episcopalian"
Might you be interested in a weekly group study to help you grow your faith in the season of Lent? If so, please consider joining a group of committed spiritual journeyers who will be meeting weekly in parishioner homes to share a meal, fellowship and book study. Beginning March 14, the group will meet on Friday nights at 6:30pm for five consecutive weeks. Gatherings will last roughly two hours. The group will be reading and discussing the book entitled "Jesus Was an Episcopalian." It is an easy to read yet thoroughly thought provoking survey of the Episcopal faith. If you would like to participate, please click here, or sign up via the sign up sheet in the Narthex on Sunday morning.
