Saint Patrick's Youth Group will have their first meeting of 2014 on Sunday, January 5th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It is the first Sunday of the month so that means there will be a Eucharist. All are invited to attend the Eucharist.
Rector's Forum: Mindfulness and Meditation. Mindfulness and meditation skills have been found to be helpful in managing stress, tolerating the difficulties of life, working with difficult emotions, and finding a greater sense of meaning, peace, and purpose in life. Tuesday January 7th at 10:00 a.m. begins a four week yoga session for $32 payable at the first class. Instructor is Christina Maniccia who teaches professional Kripalu and Restorative yoga. There is a waiver you must sign that is available in the office or by clicking here. You MUST bring a yoga mat and a large beach towel or small blanket. If you have yoga blocks, strap or eye bag that you like to use, you may bring that, too. Join your Assisting Rector in developing a vital mind/body practice for the New Year.
Ho, Ho, Ho...Merry Christmas! The week before Christmas, lots and lots of brightly wrapped Christmas presents were delivered to the Winnie Hooper Center for 90 needy children in the Mooresville community. Thanks to Saint Patrick's kindness and generosity, Christmas morning for these children was filled with big smiles, laughter and joy. Blessings to all this holiday season.
We are pleased to announce the 2014 Solas Leighis Concert Series. A few old friends are returning and we'll be welcoming some new internationally acclaimed artists. Our next scheduled day to serve as Prep Chefs at the Mooresville Soup Kitchen is on Tuesday, January 14 from 1 to 4 pm. Currently we have many slots we need to fill. We are in need of 6 to 10 volunteers, 16 years of age and older who can commit to helping to prepare the frozen meals for those in need. You can sign up to help by clicking here
