Rector's Forum: A Priest, A Rabbi and A Buddhist Sit Down.
We know what happens when a priest, a rabbi and a buddhist walk into a bar....but what about when they sit down to talk? Please consider joining our Rector, Mark Forbes, in viewing and discussing the recent UNC-TV special entitled ""Sacred Space: The Promise of Peace and Understanding in Our World." Moderated by Laura Logan of 60 Minutes, our very own Bishop Michael Curry joins a distinguished panel of Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Catholic and Humanist leaders to talk about what our faiths share and how they differ - and what we can learn from each other. Run with permission from UNC-TV, the video program lasts 56 minutes. Following the viewing, and for those who wish to stay, Mark will facilitate a discussion on inter-faith understanding. The forum will be held on Sunday, October 27th following the 10:30 am service with the optional discussion session ending by 1:30 pm. Light refreshments will be provided. If possible, please let Beryl Frey in the church office know in advance by clicking here if you hope to attend. This will help with planning.
