The next meeting of the VIVA Seniors will be held on Tuesday, October 15th at 11 am. We will celebrate the arrival of the fall season with a Saint Patrick's Octoberfest, complete with traditional German food. Our next scheduled day to serve as Prep Chefs at the Mooresville Soup Kitchen is on Tuesday, October 8th from 1 to 4 pm. We are in need of 6 to 10 volunteers, 16 years of age and older who can commit to helping to prepare the frozen meals for those in need. You can sign up to help by clicking here.
Our Solas Leighis concert series continues on Sunday, October 20th at 7:00 p.m. with a performance by Richard Smith. Born in England, Richard was playing guitar at the age of 5. A National Fingerstyle Champion, as well as a banjo and violin player, Richard's repertoire spans an incredible range of musical styles from country, bluegrass, mainstream jazz, modern pop and rock, to classical guitar. Christ Church in Cleveland, NC, where our former Assistant Priest Sarah Blaies now serves as rector, will host a Community Fair and Yard Sale! The fair will be held on Saturday, September 28th from 7 am until 2 pm. A flyer with all the details can be found here
"Knowing and Telling Our Congregational Stories," a one-day worship on Parish Archives and History will be held on Saturday, October 5th from 10 am until 3 pm at Saint Matthew's in Hillsborough. You can read all the details by clicking here
On November 9, from 12 pm to 2 pm, Saint Patrick's Church will be hosting a diocesan liturgical celebration and luncheon in honor of all regional military veterans and active troops. Our rector, Mark Forbes, is seeking persons willing to assist in terms of set up, greeting and cleanup. The luncheon will be catered. If you are interested, please inform Beryl Frey in the church office.
