We are pleased to announce that Mark Fowler has been hired as the permanent Director of Youth Ministry. Mark has demonstrated over the last year as Interim Director of Youth Ministry that he has the heart and skill set required for the job. We are thrilled that Mark has accepted the permanent position and look forward to many years of his leadership. We extend to Mark our congratulations and gratitude.
For those of you unable to be present Rally Sunday to hear the formal announcement, please know that Brittany Fowler has been hired as the Interim Director of Children's Ministry. She succeeds Kristen Forbes in this role and has already officially begun. Brittany will remain in the role indefinitely until such time as a permanent Director of Christian Education is hired. Brittany is currently student teaching in the area as a means to finishing her degree in education at Appalachian State. In addition to this skill set, Brittany has been a long standing and active member of Saint Patrick's. This gives her the advantage of knowing and understanding our particular parish culture and history. Most importantly, Brittany has a heart for children and spiritual formation. Please join me in welcoming Brittany into this role. We are very grateful for her heeding the call. Also, we give thanks to Kristen for filling in the gap these past several months.
Our Ministry highlight this week is the Building and Grounds ministry. Peter May has written a splendid description of some of the things that B&G does on a weekly basis. Check it out by clicking
