  Saint Patrick's Weekly Reminders
August 1, 2013

Please join us for worship this Sunday at 8:30 or 10:30 a.m. Children in preschool through grade 5 are invited to join Kristen Forbes and a volunteer during the first half of the 10:30 a.m. service for a lesson and some fellowship (play time).

While Mark Forbes is winding down his extended vacation for rest and spiritual rejuvenation, please know that Sally Browerr is available for all pastoral and liturgical needs. She may be reached at (704) 617-1719. The church office will remain open as usual. Mark will return next week.

As you know, Saint Patrick's has committed to serving at the Mooresville Soup Kitchen on the second Tuesday of each month from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Our next date to serve is Tuesday, August 13th. We need about six volunteers to can help prepare frozen home-cooked meals to homebound veterans and others in need in Iredell County. Volunteers must be 16 years old or older, wear closed-toe shoes, and long hair should be tied back. Contact Ginny Stehle (704) 360-4694 or click here to sign up.

Saint Patrick's will once again be joining forces with Williamson Chapel United Methodist Church and participating in the Annual Back to School Bash. The Bash will be held this Saturday, August 3rd. The annual event provides school supplies, shoes, haircuts to underprivileged children in our community. Mark Hatley is heading up Saint Patrick's effort. You can speak with Mark for more information, or click here for a flyer that gives all the details.

Please note that the ECW will not meet during the month of August. The first meeting of the fall will be held on Monday, September 9th at 10:00 a.m.

Our Solas Leighis concert series continues this Sunday, August 4, at 7:00 pm with a performance by Muriel Anderson.  One of the world's foremost finger-style and harp-guitarists, Muriel is an engaging performer, with a repertoire that includes jazz, bluegrass, pop, classical and world music .
