Please join us for worship this Sunday at 8:30 or 10:30 a.m. Children in preschool through grade 5 are invited to join Kristen Forbes and a volunteer during the first half of the 10:30 a.m. service for a lesson and some fellowship (play time).
While Mark Forbes is away on an extended vacation for rest and spiritual rejuvenation, please know that Sally Browerr is available for all pastoral and liturgical needs. She may be reached at (704) 617-1719. The church office will remain open as usual. Mark will return the first week of August.
We are currently seeking adults and children (8 years & up) who would be willing to serve as as an acolyte on Sunday morning. We need new acolytes for the fall as some will be heading off to college, or just taking a break. The new schedule will not go out until September so there is plenty of time to get new acolytes trained. If you or your child would like to be a part of an acolyte team, please speak with Bob Millikin, or click here to email him.
A new edition of Vestry Vibes has been posted. This week's blog was written by Jan Krumel. You can read it by clicking the link in the left column.
As you know, Saint Patrick's has committed to serving at the Mooresville Soup Kitchen on the second Tuesday of each month from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Our next date to serve is Tuesday, August 13th. We need about six volunteers to can help prepare frozen home-cooked meals to homebound veterans and others in need in Iredell County. Volunteers must be 16 years old or older, wear closed-toe shoes, and long hair should be tied back. Contact Ginny Stehle (704) 360-4694 or click here to sign up.
Saint Patrick's will once again be joining forces with Williamson Chapel United Methodist Church and participating in the Annual Back to School Bash. The Bash will be held on Saturday, August 3rd. The annual event provides school supplies, shoes, haircuts to underprivileged children in our community. Mark Hatley is heading up Saint Patrick's effort. You can speak with Mark for more information, or click here for a flyer that gives all the details.
Our Solas Leighis concert series continues on Sunday, August 4, at 7:00 pm with a performance by Muriel Anderson. Her concerts are a bright, vivacious celebration of life through song. The event includes a wine & cheese reception. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.
