Please join us for worship this Sunday at 8:30 or 10:30 a.m. Children in preschool through grade 5 are invited to join Kristen Forbes and a volunteer during the first half of the 10:30 a.m. service for a lesson and some fellowship (play time).
While Mark Forbes is away on an extended vacation for rest and spiritual rejuvenation, please know that Sally Browerr is available for all pastoral and liturgical needs. She may be reached at (704) 617-1719. The church office will remain open as usual. Mark will return the first week of August.
Early in 2013, the Vestry decided to provide the congregation with Sunday Attendance Metrics on a quarterly basis. The average Sunday Attendance (ASA) for the second quarter of 2013 was 180, ASA year-to-date (Jan. through Jun.) is 197. These ASA metrics include the numbers for 8:30 a.m. Rite II service, 10:30 a.m. Rite II service (with music), and also the Sunday evening Alternative Eucharists.
Come sing with us!! As you know, the ministries of Saint Patrick's will be taking the month of July as a sabbath month. That includes our choir! While the choir is away, we are seeking volunteers to sing during the 10:30 a.m. service. You will not need to robe or process. If you would like to sing, please come to the choir room at 10:00 a.m. before the service to run through the hymns.
We are currently seeking adults and children (8 years & up) who would be willing to serve as as an acolyte on Sunday morning. We need new acolytes for the fall as some will be heading off to college, or just taking a break. The new schedule will not go out until September so there is plenty of time to get new acolytes trained. If you or your child would like to be a part of an acolyte team, please speak with Bob Millikin, or click here to email him.
A new edition of Vestry Vibes has been posted. This week's blog was written by Peter May. You can read it by clicking the link in the left column.
