Welcome to the monthly eNewsletter of the International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders (IFFGD)
Digestive Health Monthly - May 2016
This year, IFFGD is pleased to celebrate 25 years of supporting the functional gastrointestinal (GI) and motility disorders patient community. Since the organization was formed in 1991 we have worked to raise awareness, improve education, advance research, and broaden understanding of these disorders on behalf of patients and their families, investigators, and clinicians in the field. We are grateful to the many individuals who have supported our efforts over the last 25 years and look forward to working with you to continue to improve outcomes for all those affected by these conditions in the future.
In celebration of our 25th anniversary, we are pleased to launch our newly redesigned family of websites. With the redesign, we aim to improve the user experience by simplifying navigation, providing a responsive layout for all platforms, and generally making it easier for people to find the information they want.
You are invited to help raise critical awareness of The Functional Gastrointestinal and Motility Disorders Research Enhancement Act (HR 2311) by sharing the importance of research with your House Members of Congress. On June 23rd, advocates from across the US will present a unified front for digestive health.
Over the last 25 years, we've provided valuable services to the functional GI and motility disorders patient community such as:
research grants,
advocacy efforts,
patient education materials,
and professional awareness and education opportunities
But, this has only been possible through the support of donations. Make a tax-deductible gift to IFFGD today and help ensure that we can continue to provide these services for years to come.
IFFGD at DDW 2016
IFFGD will be participating in Digestive Disease Week (DDW), the world's largest gathering of physicians and researchers in the field of digestive health, this month in San Diego. We are looking forward to sharing the perspective of those affected by functional GI and motility disorders.
Will you be there? Visit us at booth #4529 on Foundation Row!
IFFGD is a nonprofit organization. We rely on donor support to fund research and to provide reliable information and support to those affected by functional gastrointestinal and motility disorders.
