4th Annual Awareness Event for Gastroparesis and Digestive Health

This past weekend, Stephanie Torres, a gastroparesis and digestive health champion, held her 4th Annual event to raise awareness and funds for gastroparesis research. Stephanie's dedication to elevating the profile of this condition in her community and supporting research to find new and improved treatments is inspiring. Thank you Stephanie for your continued work on behalf of the digestive health community!

Virtual Advocacy Day - Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who took part in Virtual Advocacy Day on July 21st! This special event gave the digestive health community the opportunity to come together on the same day and contact their Congressional Representatives to ask for support of The Functional GI and Motility Disorders Research Enhancement Act (HR 2311). If you weren't able to take part in Virtual Advocacy Day, you can still ask your House Representative to cosponsor this important bill. Or, if you did take part, but you want to ask for support again, you certainly can! Advocacy can happen from anywhere at any time. Learn more about how to make contact and request support of this critical piece of legislation by clicking below.

Another cosponsor for HR 2311!

California House Representative Zoe Lofgren has signed on as a cosponsor of The Functional GI and Motility Disorders Research Enhancement Act (HR 2311)! Rep. Lofgren serves the state's 19th district and we are delighted to have her support of this bill.
Is nausea a symptom of IBS?

The symptoms of IBS are varied from person to person. Generally we hear about diarrhea, constipation, bloating, or an urgency to use the bathroom as common symptoms. But what about nausea? Lin Chang, MD, answers this question for one IBS sufferer and helps us all better understand this symptom and how and why it may occur.
