There is much to be learned about functional GI and motility disorders. Whether a person is newly diagnosed, has lived with symptoms for years, is a lawmaker who is just learning about the affects of these disorders, or is a professional with a lot of experience researching them, so much more information is needed to find answers for those living with these chronic conditions. This month we are giving you a glimpse in to what is happening in research, and also providing a platform for you to take action to ask for support for more of it. Thank you for being an active part of the digestive health community.

IFFGD presents testimony to House Committee on 2016 NIH appropriations

Making the needs of the digestive health community known is a key issue for IFFGD. This spring our president and founder, Nancy Norton, submitted written testimony to the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies regarding funding and research for Fiscal Year 2016 for the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

IFFGD, a nonprofit organization, and its grassroots arm, the Digestive Health Alliance (DHA), rely on donor support to fund research and to provide reliable information and support to those affected by functional gastrointestinal and motility disorders.
