Greetings!

Can you believe that it is October already? Pretty soon trick-or-treaters will be knocking on our doors and we will be turning the clocks back an hour (that happens November 3rd this year, so mark your calendars!). We hope you spent a little time hanging out at your favorite haunts this month and that you enjoy a happy and safe Halloween!
2nd Annual Awareness Walk for Gastroparesis

Stephanie has hosted the Awareness Walk for Gastroparesis and Digestive Health for two years in a row. She lives with the condition herself and hopes to inspire others to host walks like hers across the country to support FGIMD research. You can read about Stephanie and join her in her pursuit to make a difference for digestive health.

Bloating and Distension

Do you know the difference between bloating and distension? These two commonly reported symptoms can occur at the same time, but they are not the same thing. Learn more about bloating and distention, as well as the causes, treatments, and therapies in an article by Max Schmulson, M.D.
Tips for a GI-friendly Halloween

Halloween is a holiday that many people look forward to, but it also poses some challenges for those with chronic digestive disorders. Do you have any tips for a GI-friendly night of trick-or-treating to share with others in the digestive health community?

GERD Awareness Week: November 24-30, 2013

Each year during the week of Thanksgiving, we recognize GERD Awareness Week. Educating others about the existence of the condition is key to gaining support for increased treatment options and getting people the help they need. Find answers to commonly asked questions about this functional GI disorder and learn ways that you can raise awareness for GERD in your community.

IFFGD, a nonprofit organization, and its grassroots arm, the Digestive Health Alliance (DHA), rely on donor support to fund research and to provide reliable information and support to those affected by functional gastrointestinal and motility disorders.
