We need your support!
..because so many count on us.
There's still time to donate
I didn't know...Did you know that we served over 1400 people in 2012?...people who were homeless, depressed, unsure of how to help a struggling family member, or who had suffered the loss of someone to suicide. Our programs supported new parents, helped teachers recognize depression and prevent suicide. If you're unaware of who we serve, here are some examples.

It's the man who suffers from social phobia and isolation;but attended Operation Santa for the first time. It's that smile when he saw an old friend there. It's the single mother who gave birth to twins three days before Christmas who had been living in her car; now able to bring those newborns into a warm, safe. setting at Nurture Home. Its the mother of a teenager who committed suicide who called to thank me personally for our support. It's the mother of an adult child suffering from a mental illness in need of answers to get through the holidays because the daughter had become violent. It's the parents of newborns who were given Welcome Baby gift bags. Here at MHA Aiken, we constantly encounter people who need us. We provide support, give advice, sometimes simply listen; because we know that many are suffering and need our positive, reassuring support and knowledge of resources.

If you've been meaning to make a contribution, now's the time. Please help us support those who so often suffer in silence, with misconceptions, judgement or a lack of understanding. Help us be a positive partner in the lives of many who are impacted by mental illness, suicide, and homelessness.

Please donate either by mail to PO Box 1074  Aiken, SC or on-line at www.mha-aiken.org

Thank you!
