Back by Popular Demand! Win a FREE team for the
Keep Hampton Roads Beautiful Golf Tournament, October 12!
The 2nd Annual Keep Hampton Roads Beautiful Golf Tournament is just around the corner, Oct. 12 at the Greenbrier Country Club in Chesapeake. This is your chance to enjoy a great, green day of golfing to benefit the environment, and we've got just the ticket to get you in the game! Register online by Aug. 31 and you could win a free team for the tournament.  Simply sign up today.

One lucky winner will receive free registration for a team of four in the golf tournament (a $500 value). Each player will enjoy: 18 holes of golf, cart rental, range balls, snacks, beverages, lunch provided by Chick-fil-A and an awards dinner provided by Outback Steakhouse.

The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission is proud to support askhrgeen.org and Keep Virginia Beautiful in this annual fundraiser. Last year's tournament raised over $10,000, half of which stayed right here in Hampton Roads to provide funding for recycling and litter reduction programs within the 17 localities that make up Hampton Roads.

"The regional programs that this initiative supports demonstrates the ultimate in cooperation, collaboration and effective management of limited resources that benefit Hampton Roads as a whole," said Julia B. Hillegass, team leader of askHRgreen.org. "Proceeds from last year's inaugural tournament are already hard at work. Because of the generosity of our tournament sponsors and golfers, askHRgreen.org has implemented a region-wide cigarette litter prevention program this summer with the aim of reducing cigarette litter in Hampton Roads."

In keeping with the theme, tournament organizers are taking steps to ensure that the tournament is easy on the environment. Recycling stations will be located throughout  the course and the Keep Hampton Roads Beautiful Golf Tournament will be a "bottled water free" event. Tournament players will receive reusable water bottles to fill up at watering stations placed in the club and throughout the course.
Schedule and Registration
Day-of registration begins at 10 a.m. followed by tournament play at 11 a.m., lunch provided by Chick-fil-A and an awards dinner from Outback Steakhouse at 4 p.m. To inquire about sponsorship opportunities, email Julia Hillegass at info@askHRgreen.org or call (757) 420-8300. For tournament details and to register online, go to askHRgreen.org/golf.
