Monthly Newsletter
March 2013
Over the past month we've received several calls from customers that were swindled out of hundreds of dollars by scam artists claiming to be from "Microsoft" or other tech support companies claiming that their computer has major problems, and has scared them into purchasing a tech support plan.

Similarly, emails that look like they are from FedEx, Yahoo, or Amazon could be enticing you to open an attachment or visit a link that will infect your computer with a key-logging trojan virus...

AVG AntiVirus has released a "Summer" update for their Free AntiVirus 2013, and you will likely see the pictured pop-up in the lower-right corner of your screen....

With email account hacking becoming a common occurrence, email providers Google, Hotmail/Outlook.com and others have recently introduced a 2-step verification process
that can keep unwanted people from accessing your email account, or help you regain access to it in the event it has been taken over by a hacker.

It is important to note that you must setup 2-step verification for your account before hackers have a chance to do it first - and potentially lock you out of your account. Computer Techs recommends that you set-up 2-step verification now, as a pro-active preventative measure to keep hackers from accessing and/or taking over your email account...

Cheap Unlicensed Computer Repair -

"You Get What You Pay For"

Do you have a friend or neighbor who works with computers in their spare time? Do they actively keep-up with the computer industry and fix computers on a daily basis like we do?

Computer Techs has been in business since 2003, and our technicians have over 20 years of computer experience.

Our calls for service have leveled off in the past few years due to an abundance of new inexperienced and unlicensed computer repair people. Similar to hiring an unlicensed contractor to work on your home, it may be cheaper to go with someone else in the short term. However, you can count on Computer Techs to get the job done quickly and correctly, and we'll be available the next time you need service. We are often called to finish repairing what someone else didn't fix correctly.

We appreciate referrals
