Skilled Iowa NCRC Testing Days
Week of May 12th - 16th at DMACC

Help Newton become designated a Skilled Community!
The Computer labs at DMACC will be open from 7:30 am - 8:00 pm Mon-Thurs and 7:30 am - 5:00 pm on Friday. Testers can take 1-3 hour sitting or break it into 3 (1 hour) assessments. The assessment is FREE to take and reservations are requested but not required. Your assessment results will be private.
To Register: Email the Chamber at info@experiencenewton.com or call (641) 792-5545. When registering, please provide your name and email. For those who register and request it, they'll be sent a link to the ACT website to be able to prepare for the assessments.
Newton is very close to being one of the first cities in Iowa to be designated a "Skilled Community". We need approximately 180 currently employed Newtonians to take the NCRC Assessment!

The Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to invite you to participate in the annual 4th of July Parade. The parade will be held on Friday, July 4, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. with food and festivities on the square immediately following the parade from 11 to 1:30 PM.
The theme this year is "A Hometown 4th of July!". Plan your float or parade entry around any great 4th of July Memory; from family picnics and ice cream socials, to a pie eating contest or a church carnival. This year reflects the simple, pure memories of friends, family and neighbors gathering to celebrate our great country together.
