Joe and Hal Davis grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton High School.  The business they are a part of in Des Moines, West End Architectural Salvage, is now the subject of a new realty TV show on HGTV. Come hear their story and the journery to TV!  You can learn more About Joe and Hal in this recent article in the Newton Daily News!

FREE? - NO! :  We're asking for a $5 donation at the door (checks and credit cards okay) at this breakfast and 100% of that going to RED PRIDE Community Service Day to support our high school students as they tackle various community clean-up projects on May 1st, 2013.  This is made possible through generous breakfast sponsorships from The Newton Daily News, DMACC, Pizza Ranch, and Skiff Medical Center.
  
NEW LOCATION: We'll start off on the landing at our Newton DMACC Campus (2nd floor) and enjoy some coffee, breakfast pizza and fruit salad.  After 30 min of networking and food we'll head into the auditorium for our program.
  
MAKE A DONATION! - If your business plans on donating $100 or more to RED PRIDE Community Service Day, we'll let you make a check presentation to the committee on stage that morning!  (we'll have sponsorship details by this Friday)
  
BRING A FRIEND! - Our Chamber Breakfasts are usually only for our Chamber Members, but this one is open to the community so bring a friend!

We had an informative time at our recent HR Networking Lunch with Mary Bontrager of the Greater Des Moines Partnership discussing workforce development in Central Iowa.  The Partnership not only has great resources for our Chamber to use, but we learned of the multiple ways they are promoting Central Iowa on our behalf. New Chamber Radio Show Underway!
KCOBOur Chamber has a new radio show that airs every Friday morning at 8:40 AM on KCOB 1280 AM.  You can also link to the archives to hear the show anytime!  We'll keep this link on our Chamber E-blasts for your convenience.  A new show will be posted every Friday.  If you are interested in sponsoring the show, contact Ron McCarthy at (641) 792-5262.  Sponsors will have the opportunity to be interviewed on one of the shows.  Special thanks to KCOB and the staff at GoodRadio.TV for being a great community partner and taking the lead to launch this project.
