Teachers Math & Munch  

Do you ever wonder what teachers do once the students go home? Many teachers actually become students themselves. This week almost 30 teachers participated in an after school session called Math & Munch. 

Activities were led by resident math experts Ginny Arndt, Lori Bonn, Beth Obrock and Karleen Reynolds. The teachers explored ways to teach math with Rekenreks, pattern blocks, tiles and number lines. We can't wait for our students to participate in these hands-on math lessons. Our enthusiasm is contagious!

Last Chance! Parent Survey Closes December 12th  

Parent Survey: All parents should take the brief, confidential, computer survey available in English or Spanish. Parents should complete only one survey before the closing date of December 12, 2014.

The survey is available through the GCPS Parent Portal at home, or on any Internet-connected computer. If you have not yet signed up for the Parent Portal, go to the GCPS website, www.gwinnett.k12.ga.us and click on the Parent Portal tab for more information.

BYOD - BRING IT! - eCLASS  
BYOD is coming to Brookwood ES. Beginning in January some of our classrooms in Grades 2-5 will be piloting the new GCPS Bring Your Own Device program. Classroom teachers will be letting parents know if they will be participating. We are excited about this opportunity to enhance classroom activities. Lost  and Found - Important  

Attention Parents and Students! Our Lost and Found items are overflowing! Please look for any missing jackets, hats, gloves and lunch boxes. The Lost and Found rack will remain next to the Clinic until Friday, December 19th. All unclaimed items will be donated to those in need on Friday, December 19th.
