Dear Parents,

Thank you for an awesome beginning. Your students are so eager to learn and are excited about school. Our teachers are helping students learn all of the routines and rules, and your students are doing a great job. Please plan to attend Curriculum Night for your student's class next week. The dates are Tuesday, August 12th for grades Kindergarten, First, and Second. On Thursday, August 14th parents of students in grades Third, Fourth, and Fifth will attend.  Both Curriculum Nights begin at 6:30 PM. You will go straight to your student's classroom.

If you haven't joined PTA please plan to do so. You can log on to www.Mypaymentsplus.com to join or you can join at Curriculum Night. If you would like to purchase spirit wear, you can do this at Curriculum Night, too. Cash and checks will be the only form of payment accepted for spirit wear.

I hope you have noticed all of the improvements around BES. Our PTA has worked so hard this summer to make this possible. If you are able to get involved, our PTA is wonderful and they would appreciate any help you might be able to provide. As I was thinking about how supportive the BES PTA is and pondering how to thank them, I came across an acrostic poem about volunteers that honors their work and expresses our appreciation for them.
