Volunteers Needed
Parents, we need volunteers to help with our annual event, Be Sweet to the Staff of BES! The RESCHEDULED date is Tuesday, Feb. 18th. We would love for you to share your homemade sweet specialties with our teachers and staff. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Nikki Green, ndavisgreen@gmail.comm or your room rep by Monday, Feb. 17th. .

Brookwood Elementary PTA Family Fun Event - Bingo Night

Friday, February 21, 2014 6:30 pm 

Please fill out ONE REGISTRATION FORM per family and have your child bring this registration form to the cafeteria when they arrive at school on Tuesday, February 18th. There are a limited number of slots, and they will be filled by random draw. Bingo books will be sold at the door at a cost of $2.00/10-game book. Please bring your own markers. It's That Time Again!

Brookwood Elementary's Winter Book Fair 

Volunteers Needed

Set up:  Wed., February 19th, AM shift only

Preview Dates:  Thur., February 20th and Fri., February 21st, AM or PM shift

Purchase Dates:  Mon., February 24th - Thur., February 27th, AM or PM shift

Pack up: Fri., February 28th, AM shift only 

We're looking for volunteers to help the children write their wish lists, find the books on their lists which parents have approved, and to help them not exceed their $ max. 

Volunteer times available daily, either AM shift: 9:00-noon or PM shift: 12:30-3:00 

It is wonderful to see all the books available to the children at our school, and to get a close-up peek at the books your child selected for their wish list. Volunteers also get a 10% discount for all purchases!   

If you are interested in participating, send me your preferred dates, and morning or afternoon preference. We would love to see you, and really need your help. 

Hope to see you all during the Book Fair either as volunteers or shoppers!

educcityThis is an online software program (www.educationcity.com) that targets Georgia learning standards in the areas of Math, Language Arts, and Science. Students work on creative activities that teach them needed academic strands at the same time. The children love this software! Home licenses usually cost around $75 for a year but through Brookwood Elementary you can purchase a home license for $10 for one child plus $5 for each additional child in the same family. Free Math Tutorial Access

  1. Go to the Gwinnett Online Campus Website: www.gwinnettonlinecampus.com
  2. Click "LOGINS" in the upper right corner.
  3. Username: brookwoodesmath
  4. Password: brookwoodesmath
  5. Select desired tutorial.
  6. For grade 4, click the "Content" tab in the upper left corner of the screen to begin the tutorial.  For all other grades, you wil be prompted to "click here" to begin the tutorial.
