Give Cancer the Boot!
Relay for Life Fund Raiser
  

When: January 13, 14, 15, & 16

Cost: $.50 cents per paper boot or 3 boots for $1. Buy boots in your homeroom.  

 

Of course there is a contest! Boots will be hung in the halls.

 

Winners: The winning two grade levels (K-2 and Gr. 3-5) will be rewarded with an ice cream party in the cafe on January 24th.

Important Dates

  • Mon.-Thurs, Jan. 13-16.- Give Cancer the Boot Contest/Fund Raiser.
  • Monday, Jan. 13 - 9:15 am - School Spelling Bee (4th-5th Grade)
  • Tuesday, Jan. 14 - Reflections Breakfast Gr. K-2 in the Cafe - Student's Only
  • Thursday, Jan. 16 - Reflections Breakfast Gr. 3-5 in the Cafe - Student's Only
  • Friday, Jan. 17 - Several lunch time changes - please check with your student's teacher for lunch time.
  • Lunch Visitors are welcome on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. *No Lunch Visitors Mondays or Tuesdays. (Please note - lunch visitor schedule subject to change.)
Jump Rope Club - Tuesdays - Grades K-4

Jump Rope Club has started back. Grades K-4 every Tuesday at 7:45 am.

Reminder - Tennis Shoes & Socks

Parents we need your help! Please help  your child remember to wear their tennis shoes and socks on PE days. We want everyone to be dressed to participate fully and safely! Thank you for your help!

Witzzle Pro™ Math Club
  

Witzzle Pro™Math Club will start the new year on Tuesday, January 14. There is still plenty of room for interested 4th or 5th students to participate. We will meet twice a week on Tuesday and Friday mornings at 7:45AM in the cafeteria. Students need to attend at least once a week but are welcome to attend both days for more practice. We are preparing for the Brookwood Cluster Witzzle Pro Tournament hosted by R.D.Head Elementary on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. educcityThis is an online software program (www.educationcity.com) that targets Georgia learning standards in the areas of Math, Language Arts, and Science. Students work on creative activities that teach them needed academic strands at the same time. The children love this software! Home licenses usually cost around $75 for a year but through Brookwood Elementary you can purchase a home license for $10 for one child plus $5 for each additional child in the same family. Free Math Tutorial Access

  1. Go to the Gwinnett Online Campus Website: www.gwinnettonlinecampus.com
  2. Click "LOGINS" in the upper right corner.
  3. Username: brookwoodesmath
  4. Password: brookwoodesmath
  5. Select desired tutorial.
  6. For grade 4, click the "Content" tab in the upper left corner of the screen to begin the tutorial.  For all other grades, you wil be prompted to "click here" to begin the tutorial.
