International Students

Brookwood Elementary is happy to welcome members of the International Club from Brookwood High School. We had 14 members visit with us in November! We are so happy to have the high schoolers helping in various classrooms and working with BES students. Mr. Ernest Cantrell, ESOL teacher from the high school, worked with our ESOL Department to arrange this opportunity.

Hour Of Code At BHS - Registration Deadline Extended!

Brookwood High will host the first annual Hour of Code to be held December 9th. This is a national event to encourage students to learn the valuable skill of reading & writing computer code. Please register through December 7 & join us with your elementary, middle & high school students.

Elementary hour: 6:00-7:00 p.m. Middle & High School event is from 7:30- 8:30 p.m. This is a family event for grades 3-5. Please be sure to stay with your children to supervise and join in the fun. Education City

educcity This is an online software program (www.educationcity.com) that targets Georgia learning standards in the areas of Math, Language Arts, and Science. Students work on creative activities that teach them needed academic strands at the same time. The children love this software! Home licenses usually cost around $75 for a year but through Brookwood Elementary you can purchase a home license for $10 for one child plus $5 for each additional child in the same family.
