Hard Work Always Pays Off!
Diego Velez, 5th grader in Mrs. Jennifer Smith's class and son of Tena and Chad Bliss, has been selected as the first string goalie for the Brookwood Middle School roller hockey team.  Diego was originally told he was too small to play on the team.  However, after he continued to practice with the team, the coach changed his mind.  When asked why he chose Diego, the coach said, "I'm going with the little guy.  He may let some go over his head but I like his attitude.  He never quits working."
