Relay For Life TONIGHT!

The Gwinnett County Relay For Life event will be held TONIGHT, May 10th, at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds on Sugarloaf Parkway.  Come by after school and help our county celebrate our survivors and support the American Cancer Society. Click here for parking and shuttle information. This year, the Brookwood Cluster has joined forces and will share a campsite located at sites 380-384 and 387. Our theme is "Cancer is a Royal Pain."  Stop by to decorate a crown or get a crazy royal hairstyle!  

We are close to meeting our goal this year - if you would like to make a donation to our Relay For Life team, you can do so online here, or you can drop a donation off at the school.  We appreciate your support!

 One of our 5th grade students received a big honor this weekend. ArtWorks! Gwinnettis an organization designed to promote the fine arts in Gwinnett County. Each year they ask for exceptional fine arts students to be nominated and have their work judged by professional artists. Ms. Cunningham nominated Mei Deng in 5th grade. This weekend at the awards ceremony, she received the 2nd place award for all of Gwinnett county's 5th grade art students. Above is her winning piece of artwork! This is quite an accomplishment - Great work Mei!

Education City

educcityThis is an online software program (www.educationcity.com) that targets Georgia learning standards in the areas of Math, Language Arts, and Science. Students work on creative activities that teach them needed academic strands at the same time. The children love this software! Home licenses usually cost around $75 for a year but through Brookwood Elementary you can purchase a home license for $10 for one child plus $5 for each additional child in the same family. Free Math Tutorial Access

  1. Go to the Gwinnett Online Campus Website: www.gwinnettonlinecampus.com
  2. Click "LOGINS" in the upper right corner.
  3. Username: brookwoodesmath
  4. Password: brookwoodesmath
  5. Select desired tutorial.
  6. For grade 4, click the "Content" tab in the upper left corner of the screen to begin the tutorial.  For all other grades, you wil be prompted to "click here" to begin the tutorial.
