Good luck to Afreen Salewala (5th grade) and Ciara Mitchell (4th grade) who will represent Brookwood ES at the GCPS County Witzzle Pro Tournament. They will compete with the other top scoring Witzzle Pro representatives from across Gwinnett County on Saturday, May 4, 2013. The competition will take place at Stripling Elementary from 9:00 - 11:30 am. |

The Brookwood Cluster Art Show is next Thursday night, May 9th from 6:00-8:30 at Brookwood High School. Everyone is invited to come out and see some fantastic art work from artists in 3rd-12th grade right here in the 7 Brookwood cluster schools. Brookwood Elementary has 66 artists featured in this show - WOW - that must be some kind of a record! Anyone in 3rd-5th grade who comes to see the show and signs in with Ms. Cunningham can earn an E in art for going to an art show.

 The PTA is excited about a program we would like to share with you! It's called the TrueBlueSchools program. Georgia Natural Gas will donate $5 a month (from their funds) to our school if you link your existing or new account to Brookwood Elementary. Residential and commercial accounts are included.  This is an online software program (www.educationcity.com) that targets Georgia learning standards in the areas of Math, Language Arts, and Science. Students work on creative activities that teach them needed academic strands at the same time. The children love this software! Home licenses usually cost around $75 for a year but through Brookwood Elementary you can purchase a home license for $10 for one child plus $5 for each additional child in the same family. - Click "LOGINS" in the upper right corner.

- Select desired tutorial.
- For grade 4, click the "Content" tab in the upper left corner of the screen to begin the tutorial. For all other grades, you wil be prompted to "click here" to begin the tutorial.
