2:00-3:15 - 4th grade, 5th grade, Warnock, and Wadkins

  

The goal of the Boosterthon Fun Run is to raise funds while teaching our kids about the importance of Fitness, Leadership, and Character. The money raised during the Boosterthon will go towards instructional materials, technology, and other improvements to support teaching and learning at BES. We need your help to connect your child with sponsors!  We are very excited to have the Boosterthon Fun Run Team on campus, as they will be adding value in so many ways to our students and school!

Brookwood High School News

Brookwood High School is casting a young actor for the musical "Pippin". The young actor needs to be no more than 4' tall and willing to memorize approximately nine lines. There would be no singing involved. Auditions in E-1 at Brookwood High School on Monday, March 25 at 7:00 pm. The musical "Pippin" will be presented on Thursday and Friday, April 25 and 26. Rehearsals for the character Theo would be April 17, 18, 19, 22, and 23. He appears at the beginning of the musical but they could work him in when he arrives after school for rehearsals.

  • 2013 Discovery Ed & 3M Young Scientist Challenge:
The Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge is a national science competition for students in grades 5-8. The Young Scientist Challenge is designed to encourage the exploration of science and innovation among America's youth and to promote the importance of science communication.

 

In order to enter, students must be in grades 5 through 8, and must submit a video entry online at www.youngscientistchallenge.com

by April 23, 2013.

 

Spring Break and Summer offerings from the Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center:

The Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center is offering exciting opportunities for our elementary students over Spring Break and this summer.

PTA  - TrueBlueSchools Program

Education City

educcityThis is an online software program (www.educationcity.com) that targets Georgia learning standards in the areas of Math, Language Arts, and Science. Students work on creative activities that teach them needed academic strands at the same time. The children love this software! Home licenses usually cost around $75 for a year but through Brookwood Elementary you can purchase a home license for $10 for one child plus $5 for each additional child in the same family. Free Math Tutorial Access

  1. Go to the Gwinnett Online Campus Website: www.gwinnettonlinecampus.com
  2. Click "LOGINS" in the upper right corner.
  3. Username: brookwoodesmath
  4. Password: brookwoodesmath
  5. Select desired tutorial.
  6. For grade 4, click the "Content" tab in the upper left corner of the screen to begin the tutorial.  For all other grades, you wil be prompted to "click here" to begin the tutorial.
