Brookwood Elementary Is Getting Ready For Christmas! Check Us Out!

Mrs. Claus Visited Brookwood Elementary!  

Mrs. Claus visited Brookwood Elementary on Thursday. She arrived in her sleigh escorted by several elves. She checked in on the kindergartners and first graders and answered their questions about Santa. She also read several holiday stories to them. It was a fun visit to say the least!

Who Is This By Mrs. Holland's Classroom?

I believe this must be a life size dancing Santa Claus! He is really cute! Mrs. Holland's class loves dancing Santa. Of course he must sleep during the day, but he sure does dance at bus call.

Author Visit By Skype - Rob Buyea

Mrs. Swan's students Skyped with author Rob Buyea on Monday. He talked to the students about being an author and told the stories behind his two books that Mrs. Swan's class had read. It was a great visit!

The art items from the Original Works fund-raiser are expected to be passed out to students on Tuesday, December 18th. We can't wait to see how great these items look!Thank you for the great support. The fundraiser is being used for art class materials and supplies.

Please visit our Lost and Found. We have several unclaimed coats. hoodies, and other items. If you think your child is missing something, you may need to come check the Lost and Found. Some children do not recognize their own clothing.  

Anything that is not picked up before the holidays will be donated to local charity. Remember to always write your child's name in coats, hoodies, lunch boxes, sweaters, etc...

educcityThis is an online software program (www.educationcity.com) that targets Georgia learning standards in the areas of Math, Language Arts, and Science. Students work on creative activities that teach them needed academic strands at the same time. The children love this software! Home licenses usually cost around $75 for a year but through Brookwood Elementary you can purchase a home license for $10 for one child plus $5 for each additional child in the same family. Free Math Tutorial Access

  1. Go to the Gwinnett Online Campus Website: www.gwinnettonlinecampus.com
  2. Click "LOGINS" in the upper right corner.
  3. Username: brookwoodesmath
  4. Password: brookwoodesmath
  5. Select desired tutorial.
  6. For grade 4, click the "Content" tab in the upper left corner of the screen to begin the tutorial.  For all other grades, you wil be prompted to "click here" to begin the tutorial.
