Time is ticking away until the American Math Challenge on Oct 16, 2012!
American Math Challenge is a free math event that allows students across the United States to compete against each other by solving math problems via the Internet. Children work in 1 minute increments to answer computation problems as quickly as possible. They race against others in real time! It's so engaging that kids don't want to stop. Students in 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th grades received their usernames and passwords in Math Enrichment special so they could start practicing, beginning on October 8. The actual competition will take place on Oct 16 - 17. It will start at 12:00 AM on October 16 and end at 11:59 PM on October 17. Participation is voluntary. Students in kindergarten and grade 3 can participate if parents submit a home registration. The link is provided for your convenience.
