Lines of Division
Lines of Division
In the play of pure consciousness, where is the division line that separates us from all that is? Is it the skin of our body that somehow defines the limit of our existence, or is it our mind and all our own thoughts that keeps us isolated in some little world? Could it rather be, that every thought, every memory, every emotion, every association, every perception; are locked in an idea of an individuated form, that instead supports our individuated segregation from consciousness.

There are many cravings and many expressions that describe our lives -- wanting to be 'wealthier', or be 'thinner', or be 'smarter', or to have 'control', or to correct some perceived 'wrong'.

Season of Habits
season of habits
The season of Christmas was not about the repetition of Christmas traditions per se, but instead, seeing why "I" was partaking in whatever event may have presented. Was I motivated out of sheer habit, expectations of others (including family), or instead, was I moved in a true sense of what self wanted to experience through a particular event. Much like being on a merry-go-round, there was a little to be had of both.

One great motivator in my past, was wanting to please others through various acts of service -- be it cooking (and with that all the cleaning up, etc), arranging all the details of get-togethers, organizing, and so on.

A Dream

In visions of the dark night Divine Morsel - Dream
I have dreamed of joy departed --
But a waking dream of life and light
Hath left me broken-hearted.

Ah! what is not a dream by day
To him whose eyes are cast
On things around him with a ray
Turned back upon the past?

That holy dream -- that holy dream,
While all the world were chiding,
Hath cheered me as a lovely beam
A lonely spirit guiding.

What though that light, thro' storm and night,
So trembled from afar --
What could there be more purely bright
In Truth's day-star?

Edgar Allan Poe
