Ingredients
2 cups fresh basil

1/2 cup pine nuts
½ green apple, sliced
1/2 cup olive oil
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
1 clove garlic
¼ tsp pink rock or grey sea salt
Directions
Put all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend on high until desired paste/consistency is reached. Store in airtight glass jar in fridge or freezer.
Spread it on high fiber cracker for a quick snack. Use it as a spread on any of your favorite dishes. Pairs extremely well with salmon and grilled chicken. And of course, on whole grain pasta.
